SAT Scores for entering students

The Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) is an examination administered by the Educational Testing Service (ETS) and is used to predict the facility with which an individual will progress in learning college-level academic subjects. Scores include all degree-seeking, full-time and part-time, first-time, first-year (freshman) students enrolled in fall, including students who began studies during summer.

ACT Scores for entering students

The ACT is a curriculum- and standards-based educational and career planning tool that assess students’ academic readiness for college. Scores include all degree-seeking, full-time and part-time, first-time, first-year (freshman) students enrolled in fall, including students who began studies during summer.

GRE Scores for entering graduate students

The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) test is a worldwide standardized graduate school entrance exam administered by the Educational Testing Service (ETS) under the direction of the Graduate Record Examination Board.

The Educational Testing Service (ETS) launched a revision of the GRE on August 1, 2011. Significant changes were made to the Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning measures. As a result, the scoring of the exam has changed as follows:

Beginning fall 2012, institutions will convert any previous GRE Verbal and Quantitative scores to align with the revised GRE scale using the Concordance Table provided by ETS (http://www.ets.org/s/gre/pdf/concordance_information.pdf). Note: UT Permian Basin began accepting new GRE scores in fall 2011; therefore, converted scores for UT Permian Basin will begin being reported in fall 2011.

GMAT Scores for entering graduate students

The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is a worldwide standardized graduate business school entrance exam administered by the Pearson VUE under the direction of the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC).

LSAT Scores for entering law school students

The Law School Admission Test (LSAT) is a worldwide standardized law school entrance exam administered by the Law School Admission Council, Inc.

Notes

For all admission tests the average, 25th and 75th percentiles are reported.
The UT Brownsville and UT Pan American campuses closed at the end of AY 2015. UT Rio Grande Valley began enrolling students in Fall 2015.
